I was born, grew up and studied film making in Brussels, Belgium.
For several years I trained as a camera assistant on features and docs, working with acclaimed directors including Ken Loach, Jaco Vandormael, and David Mackenzie, and great cinematographers such as Chris Menges, Robbie Ryan, Christophe Beaucarne, and Barry Ackroyd. They passed their enthusiasm and passion on to me.
In 2006, together with director and friend Didier Minne, we founded KINODOC - a Brussels based production company focusing entirely on the documentary genre. KINODOC follows the path of directors such as Frederick Wiseman or Nicolas Philibert- making films with people instead of about people.
As an extension of my documentary work as a cinematographer, I also take pictures.
